Regarding catch limits for 2010, the Commission will continue to set catch limitations for the following elasmobranch fisheries:

1. Skates and rays (all species) in ICES areas IIa, IV; VIa,VIIa-c, e-k; VIId; VIII, IX and IIIa
2. Spurdog in IIIa; II, IV; I, V, VI, VII, VIII, XII XIV
3. Porbeagle in all areas
4. Deep-sea sharks in all areas (deep-sea TAC  regulation: zero TAC for deep-sea sharks with a 10% by-catch compared to the 2009 TAC)

Furthermore, catches of basking sharks and white sharks are prohibited for Community vessels in all waters.
