Trump’s view more important than tope

Donald Trump is objecting to a proposed windfarm off the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire as he believes the turbines would spoil the view from his proposed golf complex.

According to Trump he will "vehemently oppose" the application when it goes before Marine Scotland next year as "These turbines, if ever built, will in one fell swoop destroy Scotland’s magnificent natural heritage. They are noisy and unsightly and we will oppose the siting of this vehemently."

It will be interesting to see what the Government’s take on this will be, can they really decline approval based on opposition by a commercial golf interest and yet give the go ahead in other areas where the effect of electro-magnetic forces on inshore sharks has not been researched.?
